Target. Who doesn’t love them? I get lost in the aisles right inside the door — the “dollar” aisles. It’s just too easy.
So during one of my recent trips I decided to pick up a few items in hopes of putting on a faux backyard lunch. I’m currently swooning over low tables, mid century modern, and floor pillows and thought this might be a fun way to incorporate some of those things along with the bright colored pieces available on the cheap!
So I pulled our latest MCM coffee table and some floor cushions, along with a fun patterned table cloth and a cake stand we already have at Maeve. Then it was time to set the table…
I absolutely love mixing patterns. I used to hate this, now I love it. Don’t be afraid to mix ikat with zebra and stripes! Have fun with it! After all, this is supposed to be a fun outdoor backyard lunch so why not break the rules a little! We even brought the gold together by adding little pineapple napkins!
With it being a faux quick backyard setup, we didn’t have all the perfect food options, but I’m thinking about doing something like this for my daughter and her friends this summer… so we tested a few things… like confetti poppers!
And teeny tiny party hats…
Just another fun little summer party option to think about during these recent dreary days…
plates, flatware, glasses, party hats, confetti poppers from target
tablecloth, cushions, cake stand, pitcher, table from Maeve
