Wow…. last week was a huge one for Maeve! We haven’t been that busy in one week in a LONG time!
It started with the amazing Bloom Workshop on Tuesday in Grand Rapids… myself and my mom headed up there with some furniture in tow! First up was Molly Jacques from Molly Jacques Illustration who taught us the basics of calligraphy, the shapes and pressure… And just like the last time I did this, it was not easy! But it was therapeutic… Next, the lovely Rhi from Hey Gorgeous Events shared some floral styling tips with us. She’s so cute, isn’t she? And her adorable little baby bump! Ooo! Then, Michaela from Michaela Noelle Designs shared some home & décor styling tips with us… I loved her sweet note that if you give a man a spot to put things, like a tray for keys, he’s likely to use it! And finally, Ashley from Ashley Slater Photography shared some photography tips that were great! She also took some headshots so I’m always eager to see how those turn out.
Then we headed home, slept, and on Wednesday got a call for a Friday rental for Business People publication in Fort Wayne. We basically had an email appointment to choose the right pieces for the shoot on Friday. I also met with a local businessman who showed me some new spaces he just purchased and let me tell you — look out Fort Wayne, some cool things are coming! #excited #wheelsturning
Then we had an unexpected share by the wonderful Wedding Day Magazine of our recent vintage goblet shot on Instgram! Thanks for the love there… It was a little by surprise and super cool to have a photo recognized!
Friday we delivered the picked pieces to IPFW for the shoot, headed to the Empyrean for a delivery for L + D’s wedding, headed back to IPFW for pickup, and then dropped all that back at the warehouse.
Saturday WE EXPANDED. Yes, WE EXPANDED!
I think we added about 1000 sqft to our space so we now feel almost empty, at least to us, but you can walk around and sit and enjoy a few of our little vignettes. But in order to expand, we had to clean out that new space which included moving pallets and pallets and pallets of stuff. We were at our warehouse until about 12am Saturday night/Sunday Morning cleaning and organizing and prepping for our Sip & Snoop the next day… And we left around 12am to pickup from L + D’s wedding and then delivered back to the warehouse and with sore feet and muscles we headed home.
Sunday WE ENJOYED OUR EXPANDED SPACE with our Sip & Snoop! Thanks to everyone who came out! I’m going to post a quick video walking around the warehouse without any audio later today on Periscope so make sure you follow us there too! But our Sip & Snoop went off without a hitch (except the signs outside that apparently no one could see and were continually flipped over by the wind) and we had amazing cupcakes from Jenny @ The Blooming Baker who we will be going to from now on! Her gluten free products are beyond delicious and I can’t wait to try more! And a huge shout out to Erin & Courtney at For the Love Shop for the last minute order of this awesome sign below!
Full recaps on most things coming this week!
