I can’t believe it’s been 4 years… wow has the time flown by. I still feel like it was just yesterday! We still get asked when we are getting married again. What a great day!
It was a hot one… and no air conditioning in the church. But it was the church where both of our parents happened to be married so it just made sense. Precious Blood in Fort Wayne with their bright red doors.
Chartreuse & Chocolate my colors of choice… We tried to keep the details to a vintage chic feel… I also tried to make everything tie together… Bows on all dresses of different sorts… mine in the back, bridesmaids and flower girls in the front.
It was such a relaxed and fun day… And beautiful out!
I love the vintage chic look we seemed to capture. Most of the features of the wedding were made by myself or someone in the bridal party. The boutonnieres were made by me, the brooch bouquet by my lovely and talented mother, the fan programs a collaboration of help among the family. Yes, this event was a family affair.
The brooches were something old, something new, and one borrowed… I’m sure there was blue on there too! One of my favorite things from the day!
Looking back our pictures seem very colorful, but I don’t remember it that way. I guess it was full of color and life as we all had a great time that day! We scored an amazing DJ, we had a the perfect people there to spend the evening with, we danced into the night, and we were just surrounded by the ones we love! I honestly don’t know if anything went wrong that day… except that we, the bride & groom were almost late to the wedding! Pictures took longer than expected! Ooops!
Bridesmaid and Flower girl dresses were from J. Crew and Suits were rented from Wendy’s Bridal in Fort Wayne.
I still can’t believe how relaxed I was as I’m usually the worry wort, but just looking back, I had no worries.
So Happy Anniversary Mr Kellermeyer… I hope our next 4 are better than the last. I’ve heard that the first 5 are the hardest so let’s hope we are almost through the roughest time… Love You to the Moon and Back.
